If your party is in a hall or place of hire, where timings have been stipulated the castle will be delivered and collected within approximately 15-20 minutes before and after the event, allowing time for set up and pack up.

All other deliveries start from between 08:00-12:00 and collections from 17:00-20:00, depending on times and locations of parties, we cannot specify exact times however you will have the castle around 6-8 hours. When the nights start to draw in collection times start earlier.

Can we have the castle later than 8pm?
Yes, if you wish to have the castle later than 8pm, we offer overnight hire at £25. The castle will however remain your responsibility and we will give you instructions of how to take care of the castle. We advise that you check your personal insurance covers this. The castle will be collected the following morning during our deliveries.

How do I pay for the castle and do I need to pay a deposit?
No deposit is required. Full cash payment for the castle is required upon delivery. Please ensure you have the correct money ready for the driver. Equipment cannot be left without payment.

How much space is needed?
You will need to add 2ft to the width of the castle and 10 ft to the length. (this allows a minimum of 2ft each side of the castle and 5 ft at the back for the blower and 5ft from the castle step, to ensure exiting the castle is safe and free from obstruction)

It is your responsibility to measure your allocated space to ensure the castle fits, ensuring the above requirements are covered. For castle sizes and space required please see our section Bouncy Castles.

Please note: when the castle is delivered if it doesn’t fit will endeavour to provide you with another sized castle if one is available and time permits, however if this is not possible, full charges will apply. Please ensure you check the space to avoid disappointment on the day.

What surfaces can a castle be set up on?
For outdoor hire a grass surface is required so we can peg the castle safely into the ground at each of the castles anchor points. We can set up castles on artificial turf providing you are happy for us to put steel pegs though it. We accept no responsibility for any damage caused to the turf.

We cannot supply castles on an outdoor hard surface as the bouncy castle cannot be secured safely into the ground.

All surfaces must be even and clear from anything that may cause damage to the castle or the users including animal excrement.

For indoor hire a hard surface is absolutely fine and we use sand bags to secure the castle in place.

What are the access requirements?
A clear side, or back access is preferable for delivery, please bear in mind the weight and size of the castle. At least 1 metre in width of clear access is required and most castles are at the maximum 2 metres high when rolled). The castles are very heavy and cannot be carried other than on a trolley. If you have lots of steps, please let us know at the time of booking.

We are happy to bring the castle through you house if you have no alternative access, however we cannot be responsible for any damage caused. We are of course very careful bringing equipment through the home but as an example if the day is a bit wet the trolley wheels can get muddy or the castle may drip some rain water through the house.

Can the castle be used in the rain?
Unfortunately castles cannot be operated in heavy rain. The castle is run by electric and can also become very slippery. We strongly recommend you check the weather forecast a few days before your party. We will also do this and be in touch if we have any concerns.

On delivery we will give you instructions on how to manage the castle should it start to rain during operation.

The cover over the castle is built in to protect the castle from damage and light showers only. The cover is also great for providing shade to children on hot sunny days.

If you are concerned about the weather, and would prefer to rearrange or cancel, we are happy to do this, free of charge, giving a minimum of 24 hours notice.

PLEASE NOTE…. we do not offer discounts on the day due to weather conditions, you hire at your own risk.

Can the castle be used in the wind?
Castles can operate in light winds only. We ensure that all our castles are pegged into the ground by 6 anchor points with metal pegs and follow a strict safety process. If during operation the wind speed picks up, castles must be deflated immediately until they pass. This should be monitored throughout the hire as winds can be unpredictable. Instructions will be given at the time of hire and are noted on the castle. An anemometer (wind reader) will be provided.

Please be aware that we will cancel outdoor castles if high winds are predicted or if the weather changes on the day of hire. Safety comes first every time.

Is there anything that I need to do before collection?
Please ensure that the castle/soft play is collected in the same condition it was delivered to you, clean and dry.

What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel the castle, giving a minimum of 24 hours free of charge. You can also reschedule the castle if you would prefer.

If a cancellation is made on the morning or at the time of delivery a 50% charge will be applied to cover our costs.

Is your service seasonal?
No, we hire castles out all year round. Generally from mid-October until spring castles are hired out in halls due to weather conditions and early sunset. However we are happy to discuss as we all know the British weather can be unpredictable and on occasions we may be able to work out a plan.

Do you have insurance?
Cheam Bouncy Castles has public liability insurance up to the value of 5,000,000. This covers us for our negligence only. It is advised that you check with your own home insurance company that you are covered for this type of liability. If you have any questions at all please give us a call.

We have terms and conditions in place to ensure our equipment is maintained to a high standard and remains in a good, clean and safe condition for everyone to enjoy.

Is the castle noisy and does the blower need to stay on at all times?
All castles are inflated using an electric blower which is reasonably noisy, alike running the hoover. Our units are not sealed so need a continuous flow of air from the blower to remain inflated.

Can I put water on the bouncy castle/slide?
You cannot use water on our bouncy castles or down the slides. This is not only dangerous to the users but damages the equipment. Any damages caused by water will be charged to the customer.
